Always a tinkerer with a big imagination, my interest in themed entertainment blossomed from a childhood fascination for building moving things combined with a passion for the magic I experienced on annual family trips to Disneyland.
In an effort to pursue my goal of going into themed entertainment design and engineering, I received degrees in both Management- Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and earned my certificate as an engineering intern. During my undergraduate studies I also became involved in theatrical design and received an award for excellence in mechanical design projects.
In 2009, I earned my Master’s degree at the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University. While in the program, I was involved in the creation of an interactive exhibit for the Carnegie Science Center and the creation of an interactive exhibit for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, among other projects.
I recently concluded an apprenticeship at Electrosonic, where I was involved in projects including King Kong 360-3D, Universal Studios Special Effects Stage, and Expo 2010 Shanghai, as well as earning my certificate as an InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist.
